This is your last chance to sign up for the mpsix project which runs from 9 – 15 July this summer. The week long project will provide training in using hi-end recording gear to record the sounds of your city and surroundings. You will then be given training on how how to edit and combine those sounds into a composition or sound collage . At the end of the project the finished pieces will be released as podcasts on the mpsix website with a premiere of the finished pieces on the final night of the week long project.
Initially the project was aimed at 15 to 17 year olds, this has now been expanded as has the deadline for entry which is now next Wednesday 5th July.
The workshops are entirely free and it will be a great opportunity for you to produce a real guide to your city. To sign up for the project please go to www.mpsix.co.uk
