This Spring 360tv throws its doors wide open for workshops, discussions, broadcasts and screenings. ViewFinder, the open studio project, lets you discover how 360tv works and how to get involved in our programme.
360tv provides dynamic, challenging and original programming whilst delivering professional training and valuable live studio experience to participants. Since the launch in November 2005 many enthusiastic participants have joined the 360tv crew and learnt all about the process of making television. Now it’s your turn…
The DIY media scene is booming. From photocopied zines to youtube, podcasts to video streams – we are all becoming broadcasters. A series of discussions will explore questions of media representation, the evolution of the viewer from 'passive' spectator to 'empowered' participant, and whether the DIY media scene can rise to the challenge of winning over a mainstream audience.
The discussions will be directly related to the practical work of 360tv, with lots of hands-on technical experience and plenty of room to talk back and feature your ideas!
So come and see what 360tv is about, take part in workshops or attend talks and screenings. You can also drop in to check out the studio and browse information on various aspects of community and corporate media.
